Supporting the delivery of the National Languages Strategy on behalf of
the DCSF
It is now two years since the Languages Review was published. Most of
the recommendations are now in the process of being implemented and in
this update we shall give an overview of progress to date and what still
remains to be done. We will focus particularly on primary and key stage
4 and cover the new primary curriculum; KS4 performance indicators;
changes to qualifications including the Languages and International
Communication Diploma; the Open School for Languages and the new
Regional Centres - the Links into Languages programme.
