Joe Dale will be speaking at the ISMLA national conference on 5 February 2011. Details of the venue will follow on this site.

 His title will be: ‘Exploring the modern and foreign in languages’.

 Joe is keen to explain that 21st century teachers need to be up-to-date with technologies popular amongst young people to engage with them on the same level. In his session, he explores these technologies and shows you how to exploit them for teaching purposes at primary and secondary level and how to create your own personal learning network to support you along the way.

 Joe Dale is an independent consultant working with Links into Languages, The British Council and the BBC. He is host of the TES MFL forum, former SSAT Languages Lead Practitioner, regular conference speaker and recognised expert on technology and language learning. He has appeared in the Education Guardian, has helped to update the ICT elements of the QCDA scheme of work for KS2 Primary French, has written for the TES ICT blog and CILT 14-19 website and has designed games for Heinemann's new course Expo. Joe also starred on a Teachers TV programme recently and spoke about the Rose Review proposals on BBC Radio 4. His blog has been nominated for three Edublog Awards in the last three years.
